In January, I was lucky enough to spend five days in the concrete jungle that is New York City. It was my first time in America so I didn't really know what to expect. The only idea I had of what New York would be like was from the countless episodes of Gossip Girl I had watched. In the five days, that we were in New York we covered a lot of ground, from an evening in Brooklyn to a morning in the Upper East Side. There are still parts of New York I haven't yet explored but hopefully I will make another journey back in the future!

There are some things that are a must see in New York so I thought I would share a few in a blog post.

1. The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Famously seen in Gossip Girl, the Met is a must see. The museum is huge, with floors and floors that contain a variety of different sections, from to Greek to Roman art and even a section on historical fashion. I personally, didn't manage to see every exhibition whilst in the Met but it gives the opportunity for me to visit again as there are things I haven't seen. The Met has a pay as much as you want fee which means it's something that is budget friendly !

2. Fifth Avenue

This has become one of my favourite places in New York, the avenue is filled with designer boutiques, from Louis Vuitton to Tiffany. Even if the stores are out of budget, the designs of the stores are so unique! The Apple Store has an all glass design, making it completely transparent.

3. Victoria's Secret - A Retrospective

(Located on the top floor of the Victoria Secret store on fifth avenue)

If you enjoy watching the Victoria Secret fashion shows as much as I do, you will love looking around this beautiful exhibition. It allows you to see the famous catwalk looks up close. You can also have a Polaroid taken of you (for free) with a pair of angel wings.
